The Catalyst
The Aranya Niran Rosewood Foundation blossomed from the heart of Overseas Traders, a third-generation family business supplying acoustic and electric guitar makers globally. Having worked with Dalbergia latifolia for over 40 years, we recognized the urgent need to give back to the species that has given the music world so much.
CITES & Science
In 2016, the Dalbergia genus was listed in CITES Appendix II. This pivotal moment revealed a stark scarcity of scientific data regarding the natural regeneration of East Indian Rosewood. Fueled by a profound interest in securing the species' future, we initiated independent field studies and reforestation efforts.
